STAND WITH BOEING WORKERS!
DOUBLE STRIKE PAY & ORGANIZE MASS RALLIES TO WIN!
SIGN THE PETITION BELOW!
Boeing machinists with IAM are on strike after receiving a shameful tentative agreement that falls dramatically short of what workers need. Boeing executives have raked in millions, while machinists have watched Boeing slash pensions and seen wages eaten up by inflation. Starting wages for most new employees are barely more than the minimum wage.
Striking machinists need adequate strike pay, starting now. We call on the major unions like Teamsters, UAW, and UFCW to contribute millions of dollars to double machinists’ strike pay so workers can be on picket lines, not finding odd jobs in order to make ends meet. Other big unions should also contribute.
We need mass rallies of machinists and community members to show our strength and put maximum pressure on Boeing. The whole labor movement needs to organize these rallies, like they did in 2008.
We need rank-and-file organizing to win. IAM leadership tried to sell a weak TA, and other labor leaders have not given machinists the support they need. This shows that we need to get self-organized to build the strongest possible strike, including regular rank-and-file meetings and organizing regular picket line mobilizations.
SIGN NOW BELOW to call on IAM international leadership and the whole labor movement to build a public strike fund to double strike pay for Boeing workers and build mass rallies to win workers’ demands!
MACHINISTS FOR A STRONG STRIKE & WORKERS STRIKE BACK DEMAND:
RETROACTIVE PENSION FOR ALL — Bring back defined benefit pensions, and restore the pension fund to 2014 or the start date of newer employees.
40% RAISE AND AMPP — Inflation is through the roof, and we are suffering! UAW won 150% raises to starting wages last year through coordinated strike action. We can win a real raise without giving up our bonuses.
NO MANDATORY OVERTIME — Work to live, DON'T live to work! Workers in San Juan County have won a 32-hour work week. 32 hours without loss in pay is what we should fight for, not giving up our weekends.
