The rich have never had it so good, with the stock market reaching record highs in recent months. In 2025, the top 10% of households accounted for half of consumer spending. Amidst this glut at the top, it's no wonder Trump rates the economy as "A+++++" and calls affordability a "hoax", while adding a $400 million ballroom to his house.
But for working people, grocery prices keep going up, rents keep going up, and wages are stagnating. With the cuts to the Affordable Care Act subsidies, health insurance premiums are skyrocketing for millions of working people. Later on, the Medicare and Medicaid cuts will kick in, driving millions more off of health insurance.
The economy is on the precipice, with big banks, tech companies, and the U.S. government investing trillions of dollars in AI, inflating a massive bubble in this sector. A huge portion of the funding for this is coming from unregulated private credit companies, and virtually none of the new AI companies are profitable. Many barely have any revenue, and some have multi-billion dollar valuations without any product!
The rich owners of all these companies donate massively to Democrats and Republicans to make sure the economy keeps siphoning wealth from the bottom up to their bank accounts. Working people need to get organized independently and fight the rich and both these political parties of the rich, to take major corporations into democratic public ownership so they can be run in the interest of human need rather than profits for billionaires.
