Protest: Stop the University of Michigan Nuclear Weapons Data Center!

  • Ruthven Building 1109 Geddes Avenue Ann Arbor, Michigan, 48109 United States (map)

The University of Michigan administration is spending a shocking $850 million (68% of the total cost) to build a data center for the deeply destructive purpose of nuclear weapons research. At the same time, the U-M admin is nickel-and-diming graduate workers and campus unions.

Workers Strike Back is mobilizing to demand that U-M end all funding to the nuclear weapons data center project in Ypsilanti. Democratic Party Regent Paul Brown has come out publicly against the project. Any regent who claims to be against it has a political responsibility to force a vote to end U-M funding and use their position to build the movement to shut it down. We need to disrupt the business-as-usual of both the U-M admin and the Democratic and Republican parties in Michigan, including mass civil disobedience and strike action.

Join Workers Strike Back, antiwar activists, and working people organizing against these data centers to protest the Democratic and Republican regent’s meeting and demand that Democrat Paul Brown force a vote on ending all funding to this data center.

We demand:

  • Stop the U-M Data Center! No Funding for Weapons of Imperialist War!

  • Tax the Billionaire Tech and Energy Giants - Fund Affordable Housing, Free Healthcare, and All Our Needs!

  • Take Big Tech and the Major Energy Companies into Democratic Worker Ownership!
