Members of the Limestone Federation of Teachers are facing major increases to healthcare premiums.
The Limestone Community High School, District 310 administration, led by Superintendent Keith Brown, are discussing healthcare premium increases of 4-6% for the employee. This comes on top of already high insurance premiums for workers.
Illinois has one of the most regressive tax systems in the country. Meanwhile, the state is home to some of the nation’s wealthiest people. The 20 richest people in Illinois are billionaires, including Democratic Governor Pritzker and his family members. We reject both regressive taxes and increased costs of living for working people, both of which are detrimental to our living standards. We demand taxes on the rich to fully fund our needs! Most importantly, we need free healthcare for all funded by taxing the rich!
