The Democrats are carrying water for corporate landlords and coming after the renters’ rights victories we have won. Their first step is to try and repeal ethics laws that prevent a Councilmember from voting on renter-related legislation if they have landlord interests.
We won victories like the $15/hour minimum wage and the Amazon Tax by taking a fighting approach, often against vicious opposition from the Democratic Party.
Join us at City Hall THURSDAY, May 8 @ 2 pm at City Hall (5th & James) or online, to speak in public comment. Tell Seattle City Council: “Hands Off Renters’ Rights — NO to Repealing Ethics Laws!”
Please join us in person if possible! If you’re unable to attend in person, we will send instructions for signing up for remote public comment.
