After Kshama’s historic campaign, on to the next fight
FEATURED ARTICLE
by Justin Bare, Kshama for Congress campaign manager
After a year of intense campaigning, we won the highest ever vote, by far, for a revolutionary socialist candidate for Congress, with 17.3 percent of voters in the district choosing Kshama. We achieved this despite the myriad obstacles and maneuvering by the Democratic and Republican parties. This was an absolutely historic campaign.
Through this campaign, we spread the incredible history of how Kshama used her position on the Seattle City Council to win major victories for working people. We need more political leaders who are willing to take this approach if we are going to have a shot at turning the tide against the billionaires and their political servants in the US and around the world. And we need to continue to expose the gatekeepers who betray working people and hold back movements by tying them to the Democratic Party.
Call for a Los Angeles regional general strike against Trump's attacks on immigrants and labor
The arrest of David Huerta, President of the Service Employees International Union-United Service Workers West (SEIU-USWW) while demonstrating against the racist attacks of Trump's masked federal police on the immigrant population of Los Angeles, demands a response from the leaders and rank and file of organized labor.
Why I’m Running for U.S. Congress
In 2014, Councilmember Kshama Sawant spoke in the Seattle City Council, where she served for ten years as the only socialist, to condemn the continuation of violence in Gaza and call for an immediate end to U.S. military aid to Israel.

Our Renters’ Bill of Rights
Kshama Sawant and her socialist council office led movements to win landmark renters’ rights, like the $10/month cap on late rent fees, 6-months’ notice for rent increases, and the ban on winter evictions.
Now the Democrats are trying to roll back those victories. Read our Renters’ Bill of Rights now, and sign the petition to tell council Democrats: Hands OFF renters’ rights!

A Working-Class Response to Tariffs
Instead of praising Trump's policies, union leaders like Shawn Fain and Sean O’Brien should be calling for an end to the tariff war, because it will only result in increased prices and economic chaos, and is a prelude to real wars.
